Buss Up Shut Roti - Caribbean Pot

  • 5 cups flour, (all purpose)
  • 3 tsp baking powder,
  • 1/4 tsp salt,
  • 3 cups water,
  • 1 Tbsp vegetable oil, (to work into dough)
  • margarine + oil for the pan, mixture of 1 Tbsp margarine and 5 Tbsp vegetable oil

The recipe that Rachael uses for her Trinidadian roti. Also known as paratha roti.

She cooks it using a tawa flat iron pan.

Buss Up Shut is “busted up shirt” because of the layers and how it breaks apart.
