Wow it’s been a year since I typed in here!

This is day two of Union Bay June 2025 vacation, I’ll go back and fill in yesterday.

Breakfast was fried potatoes and bacon ends with eggs.

We lounged around and then drove to Cumberland aiming for Cumberland Bakery. Parked the car and walked the main street.

The bakery had many donuts but also savoury items. We got a loaf of potato bread, 2 pretzels, and a raspberry jelly donut.

Got drinks and chocolate at the grocery store Seed?

We walked into the Cumberland Museum & Archive and ended up paying admission and touring it. Komoks people. Japanese internment. And lots of mining, labour unrest, and unionization.

Walked through trails in the Cumberland Community Forest. Ended up being pretty hot out, we looped around the town and made it back to the car and went home for lunch.

Made carrots & hummus with bread, cheese, and sausage for lunch.

Lounged around.

Drove to Walmart for dinner supplies. Farfalle, flat parsley, green pepper, yellow onion, pound of mixed ground beef & pork, tomato sauce. Rise Hibiscus Rose Kombucha.
