This is day 2 of being over by Granville Island.
End of day I went over to pick up Rachael from her open studio hours. Turns out commuting across town during rush hour is busy. 84 Bus was full, Lyft was $50 surge pricing, and the nearest Evo was a 20 minute walk away.
We walked up to Commercial Drive. Everything was pretty packed. We ended up stopping in at Sula for dinner.
(Gluten Free) 4 little balls and an ocean of sauce. Tasty but the least exciting. Came out on a sizzling platter. And a missi naan made with chickpea flour. I had a Strange Fellows Talisman West Coast Pale Ale and Rachael had a Bhangra non-alcoholic drink with mango and mint and lime and lots of crushed ice. Aloo Tikki Chaat

My friend Rosano introduced me to chaat when he was in Vancouver last.
Looking it up a little more, anything can be chaat as long as it has layers of texture — especially crunch — and flavours. Lots of good quotes in this article: Easy Ways to Chaat It Up In the Kitchen—After You Actually Learn What Chaat Is.
Since Rachael is a texture and especially crunch fan, she really loved it.
