I have dinner for Rachael’s birthday on Wednesday booked at the Black Rabbit Kitchen.

The Mahle House was unfortunately booked up on Wednesday night. That’s their night for chefs tasting menus. I might call and see if they can fit us in.

Return to Vancouver

From Chris and Erin

Saysutshun / Newcastle Island Ferries run frequently from the dock at Maffeo Sutton. Great walking and beaches, plus the dance hall has a concession with burgers and ice cream

Cedar Farmers Market Sunday Farmers Market in Cedar

10-2 at Woodbank School in Cedar

Bodhi Bakery is a great spot to get a loaf of bread and excellent pastries

Lots of farmers selling local produce

Crow & Gate

Classic British pub in Cedar. Lots of beers and other drinks to choose from. Great out meals - the Ploughman’s Lunch is outrageous!

Black Rabbit Kitchen / White Rabbit

Where all the cool kids go for a nice dinner out or a specialty coffee respectively.

The Vault

Quirky cafe/bar/eatery with local artists, crafters, vintage shopping, records in the spaces above

Cold Front Gelato

Great local tasty treats (cookies, ice cream sammies and affogatos, too)

Thursday Night Market

There are food trucks, artisans, local orgs and some really good bagels out front of Lucky Cloud Shop!

Swimming / Beach spots

Neck Point

This if our FAVE beach for an evening swim and to catch the sunset. Walk out along the service road just above the parking lot directly to Sunset Beach. Usually no one is there! The rest of the walk around Neck Point is absolutely stunning, but Sunset Beach is super special.

Westwood Lake

Family friendly, so go on a weeknight, not the weekens! Lovely lake for swimming and nice beach for picnicking.
